One of the major trail routes in the Wye Valley has been given not just a facelift but a full face transplant by trail guide publisher Cicerone in a completely new edition of the Wye Valley Walk Official Guide.
The guide, written by the Wye Valley Walk Partnership of Monmouthshire, Herefordshire, Powys and Gloucestershire countryside and rights of way officers
together with the Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) Unit, is now on release and will be launched at the Chepstow event Medieval Mayhem on Sunday September 18th.
The launch, which is also celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Wye Valley AONB designation, will feature an opportunity to enjoy a guided walk from Eagles Nest along the Piercefield Walks back to Chepstow along the Wye Valley Walk. It will also give people a chance look at the improved viewpoints made possible by the Overlooking the Wye Heritage Lottery funded partnership.
The Wye Valley Walk has a dedicated site www.wyevalleywalk.org
