Visit the Wye Valley and Forest of Dean

Places to stay, things to do, good food and drink

Cheltenham Festival and the Cheltenham Gold Cup 2010

Looking at the calendar, it is just over two weeks until the start of the famous Cheltenham Festival, with the Cheltenham Gold Cup taking place on its final day. The Festival this year starts on Tuesday 16th March and finishes on Friday 19th March. The organisers are expecting over 200,000 people over the course of the event, and throughout the country, over £500 million – yes – that is £500,000,000 will be bet on the 26 races. Thursday is Ladies’ Day, so if we can find  big enough hats and bag ourselves a good tip, we will be off to chance our luck.

We have many members who can offer you accommodation within a reasonable distance of the race course. Why not click here for further information.
