Visit the Wye Valley and Forest of Dean

Places to stay, things to do, good food and drink

Bluebells are back in the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley

Everything is sooo late this year that it seemed as though the bluebells would never burst open.  But, good old nature has come good again.   The area around Blackpool Bridge (which is just off a little side road between Blakeney Hill Woods and Upper Soudley) will soon be an amazing sea of blue as far as the eye can see.

Bluebells in the Forest

You really should come see them – it is a most spectacular sight.   There are some organised tours too if you prefer to have a guided mini coach tour.  And the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley Tour Guides have a bluebell walk arranged for 8th May.  Why not come and join them.
