Herefordshire farmers came out tops again in the Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) Farming Awards.

Kate Humble presented the winners Esther and Henry Rudge from Ballingham Court Farm, Herefordshire with their cash prize and trophy at the Monmouthshire Show on Thursday August, 30.  Second place was presented to Perrystone Estate and third place was shared by Pound Farm, Holme Lacy and Hyde Farm, Woolhope.

The awards demonstrate the high environmental work that is carried out by farmers and their contribution to the landscape of the Wye Valley. The 2013 Awards will concentrate on small farms under 100 hectares and the application forms will be available from March 2013 from the Wye Valley AONB website www.wyevalleyaonb.org.uk
