It’s time for the Gruffalo to step down from his post at the Dean Heritage Centre and hand over to the capable characters of Room on the Broom by Julia Donaldson! This momentous transition will see the Gruffalo and the witch and dragon from Room on the Broom mingling with visitors as the new interactive woodland trail, film screening and a brand new ‘witch with chips’ is declared officially open to the public. Monday 21st will bring something extra special as Daryl Shute, producer of the oscar nominated adaptation will be there to talk audiences through screenings.

Easter weekend at Wyndcliffe Court Gardens – 18th-21st April

The Wyndcliffe Court Gardens are opening the doors to their grand grade II listed building especially for Easter! Not only will the tea rooms café and the formal gardens be welcoming visitors all weekend, but there will also be an Arts and Crafts fair in The Oak Ballroom on the Sunday and Monday from 11am-4pm. The stalls will be hosted by talented local producers and craftsman showcasing handmade jewellery and intricate glassware! Lastly, if you’re wondering what kind of Easter it would be without an Easter egg hunt – kids are invited to roam the beautiful gardens for a treasure hunt! To be opened for the Summer from 2nd May.

Easter Bunny Fun at Puzzlewood – 14th – 20th April

The Easter Bunny has dropped his Easter egg baskets and he needs your help to get them all back! Follow the trails through the enchanting woodland of Puzzlewood to find the baskets and solve puzzles and your surprise will be waiting at the end! Adults go for £6.50 and children £5.00.
