Art at The George, situated in The George Café, Newnham is a new showcase of local artwork and crafts from the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley. The gallery upstairs where we held many different art exhibitions in the past is now transforming in to more of a shopping experience! Everything for sale will come from local artists and crafters. The work is all homemade and ranges in price and style – so there really is something for everyone!

This project will be long term and Art at The George will be welcoming new work throughout the year, to keep the space looking fresh and different every time you visit. We will also be planning various events and activities throughout the year, to celebrate new work arriving and to give demonstrations.

The grand opening will be held on the 8th November at 7pm– when the space will be officially open. This will give people a chance to come and have a look, meet the artists/crafters and of course buy some of the work. There will also be a free wine and nibbles!
