Visitors will have the opportunity to sample exciting local attractions and activities for free, whilst taking advantage of an array of discounts and offers, many of which can apply to bookings for future stays.

‘‘We look forward to celebrating all that is great about tourism in the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley during English and Wales Tourism Week – I’m absolutely delighted with the range of offers we’re promoting’ said Maureen McAllister, Executive Director for the Wye Valley and Forest of Dean Tourism Association.

The Forest of Dean and Wye Valley will also be welcoming the winner of the National Geographic Kids prize to the area, which includes a short break and lots of activities to enjoy.

“It’s great that the prize is being taken during English and Wales Tourism Week,” said Fiona Wilton, owner of Monmouthshire Cottages, who donated the prize and holds the title of VisitWales’ National Tourism Awards Finalist for Best Visitor Welcome.

She added, “The icing on the Tourism Week cake for us will be hearing if we have won gold, silver or bronze for our Welcome at the VisitWales Tourism awards on the 25th March – watch this space.
