Well we are on the very edge of another, very exciting Forest & Valley Open Studios. We have some fantastic artists taking part opening their studios for you this year and we really hope that you will enjoy visiting them, getting to know them and spending some time in this fabulous place we call home.

We kick the event off with a Gala opening at Taurus Crafts with special guest and renown portrait painter Rupert Bathurst, 4th Viscount Bledisloe.

Our range of studios this year is particularly impressive from those artists and groups who are open throughout the year (Like Hot Pot Pottery, Wobage Makers and Mariana Robinson) but have nevertheless seen Forest & Valley Open Studios as a fantastic summer festival of the arts and want to be involved in the party. We have award winning artists opening their individual studios for you again like Doug Eaton, Mary Edwards and Mariette Voke and we have some great new names taking part for the first time like Hannah Ferguson, Martin Jones and Rosa Blue.

Think of arts and makers in the broadest sense. We have magnificent impressive metal sculpture from Simon Probyn, stunning sculpture and painting from Antony Dufort (of new £2 design fame), practical and decorative objects in sumptuous natural wood, innovative pottery from Avril Farley and Katie Winterborne, fine art photography, textiles and more.

All of our events are FREE – July Diary Dates
