The Longhope Open Gardens launched over the Bank Holiday weekend to a fantastic amount of visitors. Over 280 visitors from all over the place including Monmouth, Cheltenham, Cardiff, Evesham, Stockport, Worcester, Birmingham, Broadway, Newent, Gloucester, Chippenham, Hereford, Newport and Missenden. Even visitors from South Florida, Pennsylvania and West Virginia paid the gardens a visit!
The gardens group raised £2360 for charity over the weekend and coupled with the recent successful Austrian visit the total raised so far amounts to £2870 which easily beats last years total of £2775 and there’s still another weekend to go!
On Saturday The Forest Bakehouse had the best day ever and on Sunday one local business that builds and sells Shepherds Huts had an open day which was fantastic for them as visitors had to walk past their workshop to get to two of the gardens. Of course, the weather helped enormously and there was a number of comments about how beautiful the valley of Longhope is!
The group are all gearing up ready for next weekend, why not pop along? Find out more here.
