Vote for Tintern Abbey as a ‘hidden gem’

Earlier this year we told you that Pork Farms were on the hunt for Britain’s Hidden Gems – those special places that you love to visit again and again that others may not know about.  Tintern Abbey has been shortlisted as one of the five Hidden Gems within the South West area (ok we know it’s technically Wales, but it’s right on the border!)  Three of these special places will be used as part of the Pork Farms advertising campaign for 2017 and we’d love to see Tintern Abbey on show to the rest of Britain.

The Cistercian abbey of Tintern is one of the greatest monastic ruins of Wales. It was only the second Cistercian foundation in Britain, and the first in Wales, and was founded on 9 May 1131 by Walter de Clare, Lord of Chepstow.  It is currently home to the #FindYourEpic campaign developed by VisitWales, on display until 25 August.  We think that Tintern Abbey is pretty EPIC and would love you to vote for us.

Voting closes on 5 October.
