The UK’s leading cyclo-cross festival, Crosstober Wales will be going to King Henry VIII School on the weekend of 22 & 23 October 2016. The event will be broadcast live on S4C and the plan is to grow the event until a bid is made in 2018 to host the European Championships.
Entries have now closed and there are nearly 390 competitors confirmed to race at this year’s event. Each one of these competitors will come with at least one other person, which in addition to spectators will provide a much needed boost to visitor numbers outside of the peak tourism season as well as helping to raise the profile of the area’s credentials as a high quality cycling destination.
The World’s biggest Welsh Flag, which is hand finished and traditionally sewn by a Swansea-based Red Dragon Flagmaker, will also be on site over the weekend.
