Welsh Grand National
Join Chepstow Racecourse for the biggest race meeting of the year, the £150,000 Coral Welsh Grand National, one of the most prestigious jump fixtures of the season in the UK and the richest race in Wales.
This is great festive day out for friends and family. Brush away those Christmas blues and come racing!
This race has been won by some of the very best horses in training including Synchronised, Silver Birch and Earth Summit. Dual winner Mountainous took the honours in 2015, adding to his victory in 2013.
The meeting also features the Grade One £50,000 Coral Future Champions Juvenile Hurdle.
International opera stars Bryn Terfel and Rebecca Evans will sing the Welsh National anthem before the runners and riders set off for the main event and the Regimental Band of The Royal Welsh will accompany the jockeys to the Parade Ring before the big race.
Before the racing we will have the Bridgend Male Voice Choir singing in the Parade Ring. There will be live music from the Wild Murphys throughout the afternoon in our Bonanza Boy Marquee.
Hospitality starts from £99.00 including VAT. To book, please call Charlotte or Jemma on 01291 622260.
This year our chosen charities are Welsh Air Ambulance and Ty Hapus.

Through working with both camera and computer Ian creates images that seek to challenge traditional conceptions of photography and painting. Techniques and understandings from both fields – such as the layering of colour or the interplay of light – are used to produce images that capture the spirit/essence of the locality.
